The Minnesota Senate Tuesday Funds State Government Agencies

The Minnesota House and Senate are expected to vote today on a bill that would reduce state spending by about $314 million. Fourteen Senate Democrats left the state eight days ago rather than vote on a bill taking away collective bargaining rights from public workers. The nation’s infrastructure will also benefit from these newly passed bills as programs will be instituted to replace dangerous and dilapidated bridges, railroads, and public services around the country. In November 2012, Panasonic announced it would cut 10,000 jobs by the end of March 2013, just months after it laid off 36,000 employees in the previous fiscal year.
